New Funding Allows Two More Fife Corridor Projects to Go Ahead!

The City of Fife is continuing its dedication to improving the infrastructure on 20th St E with two additional projects.

The City of Fife is continuing its dedication to improving the infrastructure on 20th St E with two additional projects.

The first, funded by a grant from the Transportation Improvement Board (TIB) extends the planned improvements of 20th Street E from 62nd Avenue E to the 6400 block. The project aims to do more of what is already happening with the first segment of 20th Street E- improve mobility, safety, access, road capacity and pavement. Total grant funding awarded for it is $4.7 million.

The second, an Interurban Trail Extension to Puyallup, will improve safety and mobility along 20th St E near the existing Interurban Trailhead. The project’s funding totals $1.4 million and is provided by the State Legislature through the Move Ahead Washington transportation funding package.

Below is a graphic detailing the budgets for each of the 4 Fife Corridor projects. For more information on all of these projects, head to the About these Projects page.
